Musical Skills Development Program

Musical Theater Skills with Act II 
This is a non-performance program where students learn different skills related to musical theater. (4) 7-week programs available for 1st-2nd grade students. 

Tuesdays 3-4:30 at WISH ES

FALL PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

Musical Theater Fall Performance Program

Act II and Vocals on Stage will have a culminating fall performances  

- Wednesday, 12/6
- Thursday, 12/7

- 6th-8th grade - Vocals, Guitar and Piano performances will open the show
- 3rd-5th grade - Musical Theater Performance

Act II with Eve Keller
This is an amazing program put on by the incomparable Eve Keller. For the fall, she will be working with our 3rd-5th grade students and practices will be at WISH Elementary.

Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsal Days: 2-3:30pm Thursdays; 3-4:30pm select Fridays.
Friday 8/25 – First Practice
Thursdays: 8/31 - 12/9

Vocals on Stage
Back by popular demand, Vocals on Stage will be providing lessons in voice, guitar and piano in preparation for the fall musical performance program. This will be open to all 6th-8th grade students and will practice at WISH Middle School.

Class Schedule:
Classes begin the week of 9/11. No classes during conference week. Additional stage rehearsals TBD

Piano for Singers - Tuesdays, 4:30-5:20pm
- Intro to piano accompaniment, chord structures and sing along songs.

Voice - Songs from Movies - Thursdays, 1:30-2:20pm
- students will chose a song from a movie to perform at the showcase in November. In addition, they will learn vocal technique, styling, phrasing and performance tricks.

Guitar - Thursdays, 2:30-3:20pm 
- Intro to Guitar - students will learn guitar basics on simple tunes, chords and popular song riffs.

ROBOTICS PROGRAMS

Robotics programs are open to 4th-8th grade WISH students. All practices take place at WISH Elementary School. Teams will compete in a culminating competition at the end of each season.

FIRST LEGO League - Fall Season
This is a project-based, hands-on program introducing students to engineering and coding in engaging, inclusive, and creative learning environments in schools and local communities. Students work collaboratively to solve an annual, themed robotics challenge. First Lego League guides youth through STEM learning and exploration at an early age. From Discover, to Explore, and then to Challenge, students will understand the basics of STEM and apply their skills in an exciting competition while building habits of learning, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way.

This interactive program was developed to teach STEM fundamentals and help students of all levels achieve subject mastery through engaging and exciting hands on robotics activities!
